- queries against the components are defined in XPath 2.0, but nothing else defined
- SAF is expected to support both post-event (ie data processing) or during events (ie event processing)
- expect to work closer with CEP community in future due to the overlap / "synergy".

There still seems to be a large gap between "here are some data structures to define an approach to solving system problems" and the mechanisms / coded knowledge to be effective in doing so. Possibly an opportunity for the W3C RIF standard (as in W3C RIF PRD XPath dialect, or somesuch...)?
