For modeling complex situations using rules and state machines, there is not a better CEP/EP related product current on the market. BE is more complex than the more simple CC engines on the market, so comparing the streaming CC engines to TIBCO's BE is like comparing apples and oranges. I guess the problem is that I am not at TIBCO anymore, showing people "the dream" and capabilities before the sale guys come in an close the deal. :-) Anyway, I was focused on APJ and not working Wall Street.... my fault, in retrospect of how hard business is in Thailand and SE Asia!! Anyway, I currently have no commercial affliation with TIBCO Software, other than a fan of great technology and good people. I do recommend you take a second look at BE, but not as a time-series stream processor, but an an real-time rules engine that can model complex scenarios and situations. Cheers.
